My name is Riley Marini, and I am a cinematographer, photographer, and multidisciplinary creative based in Ontario. From an early age, I was drawn to visual storytelling through photography, film, costume work, and prop design, a passion that gradually evolved into a career in multimedia production.
Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to contribute to projects with companies including Ubisoft Toronto, where I worked on the debut trailer for Star Wars Outlaws (amongst many other undisclosed projects), as well as MAGWORKS, contributing prop work for Guillermo del Toro's Frankenstein.
In 2024, I suffered a broken collarbone during martial arts training, an experience that challenged me both physically and mentally. After recovering in 2025, I began taking a greater leap into production assisting within the commercial field, earning a reputation among collaborators for my work ethic, adaptability, and passion for the craft while continuing to pursue new creative opportunities on the side.
Although my experience spans multiple creative disciplines, cinematography visuals have remained my primary focus. I am continually striving to grow as both a filmmaker and creative leader, with the long term ambition of becoming a leading director of photography.
MARINI MOTION MEDIA
In 2025, I officially founded Marini Motion Media, a production group created to bring together talented collaborators for larger-scale projects and meaningful freelance work. While previous collaborations laid the groundwork, formalizing Marini Motion Media allowed me to step fully into a leadership role and pursue more ambitious creative opportunities.
Building on my experience working as a Production Assistant, I developed a strong understanding of how productions operate from the ground up, knowledge that now helps me lead teams effectively while continuing to strengthen my skills in running and managing a camera department.
